According to an addendum submitted to Sebi, hospitality company Oyo reported income from operations of Rs. 1,459.3 crores in the first quarter of the fiscal year 2023. Despite the company's claims that it was its first quarter with positive EBITDA, its revised loss for the period from continuing operations came in at Rs 414 crore.

According to the most recent financial statements submitted to Sebi, the company's adjusted EBITDA for the quarter was Rs 7 crore.

Oyo reported that its operating income increased by 21% to Rs. 4781.4 crores in the fiscal year 2022 from Rs. 3962 crores in the fiscal year 2021 as a result of a recovery in travel demand and the easing of travel-related constraints in its core countries.

The company's restated loss from ongoing operations for FY22 was Rs 2140 crore, compared to Rs 4,103 crore in FY21.

In Q1FY23, the company's gross bookings value per hotel increased by 47% to Rs 3.25 lakh from Rs 2.21 lakh in Q1FY22. According to the filing, the improvement in travel demand is attributable to the markets in which it operates loosening of travel, and internal mobility limitations.

According to the financial information provided, Oyo's total costs were Rs 6,984.0 crore in FY22 compared to Rs 6,937.0 crore in FY21. According to Oyo, its general and administrative costs dropped from Rs 927 crore in FY21 to Rs 515.4 crore in FY22, a 44.4% decrease. The employee expenses, net of Esop-based compensation, also reduced 26.5% to Rs 1,117.2 crore in FY22 from Rs 1,520.4 crore in FY21.

According to Oyo, its "storefronts" increased from 1.57 lakh at the end of FY21 to 1.68 lakh at the end of Q1FY23. According to the petition, Direct Booker, a Croatian holiday rental company, was one of the company purchases.

Oyo claimed in August of this year that it had completed the acquisition of Bornholmske Feriehuse, a provider of vacation rentals throughout Europe, through its subsidiary DanCenter. The company said that the change was a part of its effort to "grow" as a provider of full-stack holiday houses.
